The Game Awards 2024 受賞作まとめ：GOTYは『アストロボット』でシューターでは『ヘルダイバーズ 2』が3冠

世界のメディアやゲームファンの投票によって選出された、多大な功績を残したゲームを称える年次表彰式「The Game Awards 2024」が12月13日に開催された。今年のゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤーにはSIEの『アストロボット』が選ばれた。

シューター関連では同じくSIEの『ヘルダイバーズ 2』が、マルチプレイヤー賞を含む3冠の快挙を成し遂げた。

『アストロボット』は宇宙船（PS5）から放り出されたボットたちを救出するため、主人公の「アストロ」が50以上の惑星を旅するアクションゲーム。PlayStation 30周年を記念して、PlayStationの人気ヒーローをモチーフにしたアストロたちが150体以上も登場する。メタスコアは94点を獲得し、まさにPlayStationを代表するキャラクターにまで成長した。
