ゲームオブザイヤーには『ラチェット＆クランク パラレル・トラブル』『バイオハザード ヴィレッジ』などがノミネート。特に『Deathloop』は今回最多となる8部門（GOTY含む）でノミネートされています。FPS/TPSでは『Back 4 Blood』『ファークライ6』が複数部門で候補に挙がっています。
